Good , quality game -- but not my type of gameplay
This review is for the Atari 8-bit version

Look: 7/10 Great for its time, but nothing special or striking. Plus, a lot of it is text-based so not sure if this should really count.

Play: 6/10 I couldn't get too far in it. While the manual helped make it sometimes enjoyable, it's just simply too much. Perhaps if I I had the manual in print form, and er, I had played it at its time, but just not very enjoyable gameplay. Nonetheless, well-executed and elaborate for its time.

Feel: 7/10 Great ideas: open world, complex gameplay, layered maps, clear controls, cool function/purpose of the game with the manual's help. Get the Klingons while you also find all the planets. I love that basic idea, and I believe it was executed well. Again, though, it's just simply too much for me--an inept, lazy gamer ha. But for anyone interested in early space travel simulation and elaborate computer gaming, this is a great one.

Attachment: 6/10 It's just not my kind of gameplay, but who knows, maybe I'd return to this someday. Perhaps cuz it's just so early of a game. Maybe I will finally "get" strategy and simulation and running-a-country etc. genre games as I keep playing games chronologically. …

But for now, I respect this game, but won't be returning to it soon.
