Simple but fun

Motorslice feels like a gooner game with decent gameplay - the combat is simple but fun, and levels have a tremendous sense of scale. Every boss encounter feels like a puzzle to solve. I have some issues with the movement, since it feels inconsistent. I often felt P didn't jump where I wanted her to jump, or performed the wrong move (most of them depend on context). But with a little patience I managed to enjoy it overall. Some gooner moments where too overt, but some where cute and funny.

The ending sets up a sequel so the story feels unresolved (not that I had any idea what the story was about). A lot of love went into the game and the main character, and interacting with her was nice. Great music by the way!

Wow this game is a nice surpise. I checked it out on a whim cause id heard some mild buzz about ot and it had me hooked in like a minute. I can't think of another game in a long while that's felt this good just to move around in. And it has a really charming early 2000s sort of …

A screenshot from the clear screen of the game Motorslice, reading THE END. The platinum trophy for the game, Rank P, is shown to have been obtained by me, Jace :)

26th platinum in the books!

I love Motorslice a lot. Big circa-2001 video shop rental energy (COMPLIMENTARY). I'd like to do a longer-form review because I kinda have a lot to say about this one but umm I've been real busy... I'm workin on it though!

Also: hi everyone!! It's been a while since I've left an update here. …

Also: hi everyone!! It's been a while since I've left an update here. Transition has been no small thing and I've been putting my all into it. Video games bring me lots of joy and comfort throughout turbulent times, and that especially has gone for this process, so unfamiliar and new. So I'll try to check in with what I've been playing when I can!

Been thinking hard about what colour I wanna dye my hair, but I think Slicer P has sold me on turqoise. She's so cool; I wanna be just like her :3
