Holy cow; download this on GamePass right away. This has the best intro sequence I've seen since the I Expect You To Die games. The writing is so good and engaging; the story is that you're a covert-ops Jason Bourne type guy who is refusing to take "the one last job" from his government and so the government has sent a bunch of goons to take you out. The back and forth between the agent and the boss and other characters that come up is so quick-witted and fun. The gameplay feels as quick as the dialog; the whole thing is a speedrun of taking out soldiers and completing objectives in levels that are usually barely longer than 90 seconds.
Really slick game, another GamePass banger.

Glad I got around to playing this game before the end of the year cuz it kicks ass. And shoots ass. And stabs ass. And throws a bear trap at the ass.

One of my new favorite games of 2024. Top 5. This is that type of FPS that makes me go feral where you're scurrying all over the woods to find ways to kill troops. Kicking a guy down, grabbing their weapon. Tossing bear traps at a guy, throwing claymores directly at enemies for multikills. It's such a strong loop here …

Might be my favorite of these speedrunning FPS games. Only thing going against it is that the AI can be dumb, butI guess the point of it is getting into that instakilling flow and the large quantity of enemies. BTW, favorite finale of the year.
