I played this way late but I don't even care. It was really quite special and I see why so many people hold it in high regard.

This is a fun game that offers many challenges and some rewarding gameplay. I loved the platforming sections, except in the ice area of the game, sliding around was a load of crock and I was not a fan. Other than that though everything seemed fair and we'll balanced.

Combat was good, even if it was a tad simple, but the loop was good enough it didn't bother me at all. Hack and slash and move on. Sure you gotta figure out how to kill some enemies but when you do it's continue on.

The exploring felt pretty good though. A very nice mixture to compliment the combat. I really enjoyed travelling around this world.

The story left a little to be desired. Find the 4 mageblade shards! Woooohooo. Haha, but it was fine enough. Gameplay is where this shines anyway.

Overall I really liked this game. A lot of fun especially for being an older game at this point! I was even tempted to continue playing and get all the achievements, except for one brutal one I which stopped me from attempting.
