A little worse for wear but still excellent after all these years
Enjoyed
- The concept seems like it could be its own television show - focus on the away team on a ship - similar to what has been done to great success with lower decks
- Right off the bat allows you to select your gender for Munro. Highly unusual for a shooter in 2000 -Feels very much like an interactive Star …

- Right off the bat allows you to select your gender for Munro. Highly unusual for a shooter in 2000 -Feels very much like an interactive Star Trek Voyager episode. Everything from the models to the sound designer and licensing the likenesses of known characters, they did a stellar job -Heavily scripted in mission story telling similar to Half-Life. Each away mission is connected by time back on the away team operations deck where you complete the ritual of resting, being briefed on the next mission and gathering your equipment for the next. There are simple puzzles and fun pieces of dialog that make these missions between missions fun
Disliked
- The weakest part of the game is the simplicity in the action. Even compared to some contemporaries (Half-Life and Halo) there is little to no enemy AI and every level, apart from a well executed stealth mission, feels like a shooting gallery
In conclusion
- For any nostalgic players, you're likely already playing this with the same mixed feelings I am. For any newcomers I would highly recommend this for any fans of 90s star trek and objective based story shooters in the vein of half-life
