After watching a family member play through this at at a get-together, and trying it a bit myself, I was underwhelmed ☹️ The combat (which is Arkham inspired) is fun, but the main story features maybe 4 stages & bosses that can be cleared in an hour (or less, if you're a real crack at it). When I played the demo stage (Hemlock) last year and it quickly spliced between areas before cutting out at the boss, I assumed these were slices of a larger unfinished level. But that's not the case - That's the whole level, minus the boss.

I know it's early access, and supposedly the final version will include 3 to 4 more levels...but if they are similar to the current offerings, I cannot imagine it will lengthen the game much. There is also an endless mode and the ability to play with your own music, though I didn't have the chance to try those.

For anyone like me that might of assumed the game would have enough curated levels to fill out 6 to 10 hours, I'd throw out caution (or at least say to wait till the final release) since getting a lot out of this seems to involve playing for challenges you'll have to define for yourself.

Anyone given this a go since release? The demo was really fun, especially adding your own music to fight along to the beat. The demo naturally didn't give much away though in terms of how the levels would play out and form a cohesive game. Interested to see how it pans out, I see it's currently overwhelmingly positive on steam!

Fuck this demo slaps! Another game jumping on the action-rhythm game. Amazing combat and ability to import songs.

I spent like 2 and a half hours on it.

The full game will feature custom level editors. I hope the community embraces it and we get lots of great songs for it.
