Here's my Monster Hunter Wilds Trophy progress so far. Still hunting crowns for the largest / smallest versions of each monster - "Giant Crown Master" and "Miniature Crown Master", and have made a considerable dent since the last update :).

Finally nearing the end of the "Explorer of the Eastlands" achievement, and I just wrapped up the "Top of the Food Chain" achievement last night.
I cannot believe how grindy and RNG based these achievements are 🤣, actually insane lol. I finally see the light at the end of the tunnel though... almost there!

With the help of one of my friends, been slowly getting through the crowns for all the monsters. I think once we have our full party next week, we'll be able to really make a dent in this. So far, only the Rathian is fully finished with the Miniature and Gigantic Crown

Lol... I dont know what I'm getting myself into... but I've always wanted to 100% Platinum a Monster Hunter game. And I gotta say... first impressions, this is gonna be a bruuutal grind getting the "Giant Crown Master" and "Miniature Crown Master" trophies.

Well, this is suprising.
Playing on PS5 (framerate mode), this is like going back to Playstation 3.

Just some quick pro's and cons.
The Good:
- Classic MH gameplay still hits the mark
- Great visuals (when they're not muddy)
- Solid performance on PS5 Pro
- Weapon balance feels on point
- Still a blast with friends
- Jin Dahaad and Zoh Shia are standout fights
The Not-So-Good:
- Lacking in monsters and content compared to World + Iceborne
- Environments feel chaotic, blended …

- I miss the old distinct zones—it felt tighter, more memorable, more arena's
- Weather/day/night/biome shifts sounds cool on paper but I just want more great hunts...
- Weapons lack gameplay depth, I kinda miss weapon styles at this point
- The story cutscenes are an absolute slog

Capcom: you don’t know how to do that?
Me: well, no. You haven’t provided …
Capcom: go do this monster capture mission.
Me: cool. Kind of weird the first capture mission is after the credits.

Capcom: you don’t know how to do that?
Me: well, no. You haven’t provided a tutorial on monster capture. Up until now you’ve just sent me out to slaughter them.
Capcom: that’s ok, you’ll probably remember the method from playing all the previous games.
Me: what if I haven’t played any of them? Or what if it’s been a long time since I played one?
Capcom: 🤷🏽♂️

Every once in a while the triangle button stops working when playing this. At first I thought it was my controller but that doesn’t seem to be the case given the triangle button input still triggers actions in Steam at the same time it fails to do so in-game. It seems to be a MH: Wilds issue.
