This went from something I've ignored entirely, to something I actively want to play. I have friends whose game opinions I trust and they're all saying it's a lot of fun. So surprising, honestly.

I played the demo and I really didn't like it. Should I base my decision to get this or not based on that?

I'm about 16 hours in. I really like most of the game. But.... I feel like the game is trying to do something it just isn't doing. The immersion seems to be such a thinly laid veil that it really breaks too often. Also, every time I move from cutscene to gameplay I get about 5-10 seconds, where my character …

The immersion seems to be such a thinly laid veil that it really breaks too often. Also, every time I move from cutscene to gameplay I get about 5-10 seconds, where my character is just frozen in place. Is this just my slow HDD or have other people been experiencing this?

I've been playing FFVII Remake since last Friday (it was tough to get it on Good Friday, a fast day...). It's been pretty much all I had hoped for it to be: detailed, deep, bringing enough of the original without forcing it. Strangely, the only real complaint I have is that there aren't enough battles and grinding. I played the …

The number of people who are trying to sell FF VII Remake at inflated prices is retarded. It's a temporary scarcity and not a necessity. We also have the option to buy digital at normal price. These price gougers are nothing except fucking pathetic.

It's just challenging enough for strategy and unlike some games, you do have to change characters to win the battle. I love taking a moment to try to figure out the right abilities and I absolutely love that magic is essential in this game to get the edge. It's not all about button smashing (like FFXV). Currently rounding in on 15 hours and at chapter 8.

Oh, and Reno? Fuck that guy.

Received my deluxe steelbook edition today. I rarely buy steelbook editions but this one felt warranted. Excited to dig into it.

When I heard about the remake, I absolutely knew I had to play it and jfc, it does not disappoint. I’m breathless with its perfection after six hours in and I can’t wait to spend every waking moment playing. The only bitterness is knowing that I’ll have to wait who-knows-how-long for the sequel.

Everything I've seen from the gameplay side bar a few enemies looks pretty good, and I've kinda spoiled myself on a lot of plot elements of which I've already enjoyed what I've seen of that (Some of the backlash similarly has also incited more of my curiosity). Can't wait to give this game a thorough shot!

Couple hours in and it's everything we wanted. Midgard is gorgeous, it's fun to explore, there's a lot to do and voice acting is great.
