Grand Theft Auto V is a vast open world game set in Los Santos, a sprawling sun-soaked metropolis struggling to stay afloat in an era of economic uncertainty and cheap reality TV. The game blends storytelling and gameplay in new ways as players repeatedly jump in and out of the lives of the game’s three lead characters, playing all sides of the game’s interwoven story.

This game is huge. Evey time I turn to do anything I discover a whole new area, or mechanic, or mini-game. And of course, each one comes with a fifteen step guide that inveriably includes clicking the left stick in while holding all four triggers and saying your name ten times in reverse.

In other words, you have to respect Rockstar’s amazing ability to build a vast complex world, and their stunning inability to create a simple control scheme.

Progressed to Trevor missions. I like them the most out of all chracters so far. Just purchased the airfield. Arms drop off missions are a ton of fun. The visuals are amazing when flying over cities and mountains. It's also nice to have a character who actually has money!

Finally completed a mission tonight. Either I suck or just don't play enough.

Going on 20 minutes of installing this game. Since when does a console take longer to install a game then PC?

Finally finished GTA V's story. I mainly got this game for the online, which I'll hopefully be delving deeper into in the future, but I thoroughly enjoyed the campaign. The various characters were entertaining and the action scenes were incredibly fun. I found myself thinking "There's no way they'll go that far" multiple times, only to be proven wrong, much to my amusement.

My main problem with the story was the seeming lack of transition between various events. There were multiple times where I felt the game switched between unrelated story missions with little explanation as to what happened in between. I was also bored by the abundance of "drive from point A to point B" missions, though I guess I should've expected those in the first place.

Would anyone here be able to let me know if I'd like previous GTA games based on my experience with V so far? Definitely interested in exploring the franchise.

Just finished the main missions, I will keep playing but I am going to take a break for a while. The game is beautiful and HUGE! My only complaint is that the story wasn't great and it didn't do a good job of making you explore all the areas.

Despite the bugginess (even two full years after release), this game was pretty fun. I always wonder how they're going to improve the formula, and then they go ahead and do it.
