I know it's an old game, particularly for VR standards, but boy is this game rough. Everything feels clunky, from the wider menu at the start to the movement, collisions and interacting with objects. Level design is as basic as you can get, basically linear corridors with a few scattered enemies that pose no threat and some key-hunts capped off with a horde that come out from the walls (literally). I died mostly by getting caught in the geometry.
VR and zombies... It's a fair combination that trains me in coordinating movement and shooting through the zombie situations. Mostly it's a walk n' shooting gallery until there are moments you have to fend off a horde with what you got in your arsenal, with up to 4 weapons and grenades you carry at best. The pacing is mostly fair for a VR novice like me, which helps for trying some action elements of such a gaming format.
The story isn't much to write about, even though with a protagonist coping through his own humor (giving zombies the name of Fred ie) and on a search for rescue. If you don't mind a tech demo-level zombie shooting with a limited number of weapon types and maybe have a friend to co-op with, this game is worth trying out over a discount price.
Invisible walls all over the place, janky gunplay and a MC that never shuts up. I'd recommend other shooters and staying clear of this game.
This is the game that got me really into VR shooters. It is old but really fun if you are just starting out VR.
