WHAT A RIDE
This review is for the Nintendo Switch version

Some time ago I posted a status here asking wether it was worth it to push through with this game. I was five hours in and it was a COMPLETE SLOG. I then put it down for a while, until I picked it up again after a couple of weeks for some reason, AND BOY AM I GLAD I DID THAT.

The narrative is phenomenal. This is a truly gripping story that is mostly super dark and has some amazing endings (that for me where enough reason to consider the VN superior to the anime). It is definitely worth it to put through with the first hours because when things get rolling... let's just say it's pretty intense.

The elite version is also fully animated. I thought that was pretty nice, although the animation was a bit lacking some times.

I would give it five stars if it wasn't for one reason: it is practically impossible to get the true ending without a guide (and the true ending is definitely the most awesome one). If it was more intuitive or puzzle like that would be ok, but the conditions are too arbitrary. My recommendation is to just play without a …

If it was more intuitive or puzzle like that would be ok, but the conditions are too arbitrary. My recommendation is to just play without a guide and get all the endings you can. Then use the walkthrough. There's a nice feature that skips through everything that you've already seen and stops skipping when there are new scenes. Just remmember to create a save on chapter 4 and don't delete it! It is most definitely worth it!

HIghly recommended to anyone into Sci-fi, time travel or just anime in general!!!!!!

Just finished up my replay of steins gate elite. To discover there's a steins gate reboot this year.

Gosh I wish I had known before replaying.

Finished after 50 hours. All routes cleared.

The true ending was good, but I don't think it was better than Lukako and Feris' endings, because those were beatufil endings.

Anyway, a great story with great characters indeed.

I enjoyed a lot two Chunsoft games I played before (AI The Somnium Files and 999), so here we go, to the third Chunsoft game and to the most prestigious of all of them.

Holly molly does this move at a snail's pace :(( I'm at about 5 hours in and it's sooo boring.

Has anyone tried it over here? Is it worthing putting up with instead of watching the anime? I'm pretty sure the story will develop into something pretty cool, but I have a feeling the animation might get to it at a better pace.
