The less I say about Doki Doki Literature Club Plus' story the better. It was certainly a surprising game, and that's all I'll say about the core story. The extra stuff included with DDLC Plus is pretty cool too, especially the side stories. Provides fulfilling backstories on the four female characters, and I enjoyed going through each one.
Don't read too deep into DDLC, this is one you may want to blindly go into.
I went into this knowing it wouldn’t be what it seems. When starting it up there are content warnings so people have to expect the dark themes. So it kinda takes away some of the surprise or punch out of the game. I’m not big on using such serious themes without appropriate nuance or depth. (I’m not sure I’m really expressing what I want to say) But, this game kinda fails on that front for me (being a little sensitive as I am). Once I got over that and stopped overthinking it, the game was okay. It was okay enough for me that I actually platinumed it and watched some “Let’s Play” videos after. I think I liked watching other people play it more than playing it myself. It’s a weird one for me. I understood what the game was saying, but didn’t really understand my feelings about it.
Do you know how hard is to write a spoiler-free review of Doki Doki Literature Club?
I know because I did one and you can read it now on GamerFocus (review in spanish)

I really liked this game and the way it subverts the usual narrative of dating sims with
But it also has a lot of problems. The way this 'improved' version works puts another layer between the player and the game with the 'metaverse' interface. The way it encourages replaying it to unlock secrets also works against the game, because it makes its best parts mundane. I also hated the way
Anyway. Definitley worth one run (just consider the trigger warnings). But play the free version. It works better that the "improved" Plus one.
If you're already playing it, maybe you'll wanna check my secrets and endings guide (also in spanish).
Doki Doki Literature Club (Epic) - Una suerte de parodia de los juegos de ligar/animes japoneses, con el rollo creapypasta un poco estilo Inscryption. Te mata de cringe en ocasiones, y disfruta haciéndolo. Está bien.

Played this on PC a few years ago so giving it a go now on the PS5. Gonna make some diff choices and see what’s what.
Completion Status:
Achieved full game completion.
And now, to finish with my 'trilogy' of Doki Doki Literature Club Plus articles on GamerFocus, here's the plot and mysteries of the game, explained (in spanish).
Spoilers, obviously.
If you're playing DDLC Plus and want to get all ilustrations, endings, secret documents, etc. I wrote a 'spoiler-free' guide to get it (is in spanish tho).

Give it some love. If it does well, maybe they let me wrote more about this game.
(Review will be ready soon, btw)
I finished Doki Doki Literature Club Plus AND I suffer anxiety (really, don't dismiss those content warnings).
Ask me anything.
(I'll blur the spoilers if needed)
Oh no...
Well. The game warned me. It really did.
