Changed is an RPGMaker survival adventure game, albeit its MS Paint-esque, anime graphic style breaks the norm of the engine's appearance. Even more unusual is the premise of your character being put in, who finds himself in a desolate research facility filled with strange animal creatures consisting of organic latex. As there's barely any fighting mechanics, the game challenges you in avoiding and maneuvering around the creatures that hunger for a host to possess. As the game is built to be difficult in many places, I fell victim to animal transformations numerous times and had moments of frustration. However, the difficulty level is complemented by the imaginary "death" sequences as your character is caught in a cute interaction, which leaves a sort of satisfying result that softens the impact of loss throughout the game. Yes, this game is made for crowds who have a shred of fetish for above-mentioned premises. clears throat
This game is not all about furry service, as there is an actual plot and some background lore that brings in the latex foundation for a reason. The few, sentient characters you'll meet are very memorable and even a particular character is sure to win many players' hearts …

The sound effects are commonly stock assets from RPGMaker but the chiptune music are varied and fit pretty well with the peculiar and looming environment. There are multiple endings that depend on your choices and interactions, which had me replay the game with improved training and a new difficulty level required for true ending(s).
Be warned, there will be trials-and-errors strewn throughout the game, so players that fall outside the intended "transformation" appeal may have to check before buying this game. I still recommend it if you're into either the survival adventure genre or have no problems with the furry niche that's the game's premise runs on. Either way, Changed is a difficult yet satisfying game made by one developer (+ one composer) that has managed to carve a unique niche out of this indie game.
