giopep's review of Putt-Putt: Pep's Birthday Surprise

The visual upgrade from last episode (which was already much better than the previous ones) is quite amazing and thanks to the higher resolution it really looks like playing with a sunday cartoon. Gameplay-wise, it finds the perfect synthesis between the need to be "readable" and approachable by kids of all ages and the desire to give it some depth and replayability with the randomization of certain objects/puzzles. It's not as complex as some previous Putt-Putt games but it's also not the simplest one. Overall, it's fun, engaging, with the usual lovely narration and humor. My daughter loved it and needed very little help from me. Sadly, it's the last game in the series but it went out with a bang.
