I have had this for years and always struggled to get into it because at the time I was big on Starcraft/CnC style FPS games.

After completing the campaign though, I can definitely appreciate what this game was trying to do, I think it fell flat in the end as the strategy to use (at least against AI) was usually quite simple and could be easily cheesed. Multiplayer may have better because they can counter it more but newer games in the series exist so I didn't bother with multiplayer.

Still quite enjoyable, and after seeing the improvements and changes in Airland Battle it seems like they also saw the floors in certain units / types and improved it quite a bit.
