Graphics and Design:
"Atlas Fallen" boasts impressive graphics that create a beautiful and immersive world. The visual design is one of the game's standout features, enhancing the overall experience with its rich environments and detailed character models.

Gameplay Mechanics:
While the game's graphics shine, the gameplay mechanics leave something to be desired. Movement feels somewhat clunky, which can hinder the overall experience. After progressing through about 80% of the game, a significant issue arose where the game stopped registering character movements. Despite troubleshooting with multiple controllers, the problem persisted, indicating a potential bug or flaw in the game itself. This detracted from the enjoyment and fluidity of gameplay, making it a frustrating experience as one nears the conclusion.

Story and Characters:
On a more positive note, the story of "Atlas Fallen" is engaging and well-crafted. The character development is enjoyable, with meaningful interactions that allow players to connect with the world and its inhabitants. The narrative effectively draws players into the game's lore, creating a compelling backdrop for the adventures that unfold.

Difficulty and Length:
The game presents a challenging difficulty level, offering a rewarding experience for players who enjoy a good challenge. However, the length and pacing may vary depending on individual playstyles, and while the game is designed to be immersive, the aforementioned issues with gameplay mechanics can affect overall progress.

Replay Value:
Regarding replay value, it's hard to assess definitively, especially since the reviewer was unable to complete the game. Based on the experience, it appears that the game may not offer significant incentives for replayability, which could be a disappointment for those looking for a game that encourages multiple playthroughs.

Overall Impression:
"Atlas Fallen" showcases a beautiful world with a captivating story and character development, but it suffers from gameplay mechanics that can significantly impact the experience. The clunky movement and technical issues detract from what could have been a standout RPG. For players who value narrative depth and visuals, this game may still be worth exploring, but potential buyers should be aware of the gameplay concerns.

Rating:
Given the combination of stunning graphics and narrative depth, but also considering the gameplay setbacks, I would rate "Atlas Fallen" a 6.5 out of 10**. The game has promise, but the technical issues need addressing for it to reach its full potential.

Another Platinum Trophy for the collection.

I kinda loved this game. It wasn't pretty and the plot was boring as fuck. But I had lots of fun exploring the world and the combat systems were truly great.

Also, I loved how I painted my armor near the end.

I finished this game about a month ago, but I suddenly got the urge to go back to it and try to get the Platinum...

... So I'm guess I'm doing this during this week.

I don't like sand

Sand is all over the themes and visuals of this game and it makes it a little dull. Its not an ugly game, but it looks like a very generic open world title. Sand is all over the themes and visuals of this game and it makes it a little dull. Its not an ugly game, but it looks like a very generic open world title. That's almost true because this is a SEMI open world game with a boring plot, mediocre voice acting and a fun but simple exploration mechanics.

But the combat... the combat is amazing.

The fights against the big sand monsters called wraiths reminded me of hunting games like Monster Hunter or Wild Hearts. There are different weapons with several effects, more than 150 skills than can be equipped and armors with different strenghts. You can make very different builds and that makes for a very varied fights.

I don't like sand but I liked this game. You can read my full review in spanish here.

I think it's worth a look, but it's a shame it has so much focus in the semi-open world because I think it would have worked better as a hunting game.

Just played for about three hours and I'm surprised almost no one talked about this one when it came out. It's really good!

It reminded me a lot to Forspoken but with parry based combat and a hint of Monster Hunter.

Let's see how it goes. Plot is pretty meh so far but i'm in for the gameplay.

Just wanted to add, for anyone interested in playing Atlas Fallen on PS5….there are NO DualSense features mostly. Some vibration here and there, but not haptic feedback just simple vibration. But on that note, I am also a huge DualSense fan (it is one of my favorite features on the ps5) but I totally recommend giving this game a play anyway. I am truly enjoying every aspect of it. Deck13 did a fantastic job with this one. I am pleasantly surprised!
