Tried out Thea 2, it's very unpolished right now, but it just came out on Early Access and it's not like MuHa hasn't proven they can make a feature complete game just like it. The UI is a pain, I wouldn't recommend it to people who aren't familiar with Thea, but for the people who liked/loved the original and don't mind poking through an incomplete game. It's worth a look.
Definitely shaping up to be better than the original.
