What more can be said about this series? This sequel offered a much more superior soundtrack than the original and had better visuals when it comes to execution and crowd reactions.

For better of worse, we all had these damn things cluttering up our homes for years. Guitar Hero 2 represents the absolute pinnacle of this hype, before Rock Band introduced even MORE junk to pile up next to your TV. The setlist was hype. The multiplayer was incredibly competitive. For kids like me who had grown up gaming and were now entering college, it was a perfect gateway into more "adult" gaming sessions where drunken braggadocios debauchery was taking more of a spotlight, something this game facilitated beautifully in lieu of a proper karaoke party (we had no money for that). The memories of loud parties made even louder by the occasional squeaking of missed chords, all while downing shitty beer is like a comfort blanket I'll carry with me forever.
