Me and a friend have played through many campaigns of L4D2, we tried out the Back4Blood beta as well. We didn't like it very much and will probably keep playing L4D2 when we get that itch. Comparing it to L4D2:

- Better mechanics and graphics
- The homebase was really cool, it really set the mood for a zombie apocalypse

Pros:
- Better mechanics and graphics

- Card system and special abilities for characters
Cons:
- Zombies are worse, I don't like their designs
- Levels are way harder (even with 4 players), I think there are more hordes, bullet sponge enemies and less healing
- Bots are worse, which makes the previous con hit harder
- The awful "CS Go" type weapon and ammo purchasing
- Weapons are no longer shared and are first come first serve
