Gameplay is fast the paced action you'd expect from Platinum. It reminds me of Devil May Cry, but with Transformers instead. I was a wimp and played through on easy mode. Aftewards I tried some of the challenges on medium difficulty. Yeah... I wouldn't have lasted long if I had to play like that. Easily worth a recommendation if your a fan of the original Transformers.

Celshaded 3D graphics don’t make this look like the show actually looked, but it looks like how you remember the show looking. This game is way better than it has any right to be. Based on the original cartoon, the visuals are perfectly on point. Celshaded 3D graphics don’t make this look like the show actually looked, but it looks like how you remember the show looking. The gameplay seems to be inspired by Devil May Cry, with a focus on acrobatic combos, and an excellent use of the uniqueness of the franchise, in that you can shift between robot and vehicle forms seamlessly throughout combat.
