Unlike the original "EDF" series, which are drawn in a photo-realistic world, this game is boldly drawn in a voxel world! For people who just hate the look of huge real insects, or who are not so good at some brutal in-game expressions, this game can be your first EDF experience which you can exhilaratinglly defeat gigantic enemies.

I like a game that is light-hearted and doesn't take itself seriously. It was nice having characters from around the world represented to embody the "earth" defense force. I liked being able to switch between 4 characters per mission, having a large cast, and the different skills. Game seems less grindy since there's no picking up boxes off of the ground for armor or weapons. The inclusion of a map is also great. Not a fan of the voxel aesthetic though. This will probably be my last EDF game for awhile since I beat all the ones I got in a Humble Bundle.

Damn, this game rocks! i really dig all the crazy different characters you can control, and all their specials.
