A puzzle game specifically made for Resident Evil 4 fans

Just finished playing through Save Room and while it was fun, it was nothing special. I am not familiar with the Resident Evil franchise, I have not played any of the games or watched the movies or anything at all. While I had fun playing through the game, I feel like I couldn't enjoy it to the fullest.

This is a puzzle game based entirely around the inventory system in Resident Evil 4. You get a few items, and you have to combine them and move them around so they fit into a grid. It's fun, and while you can figure out most of the systems and mechanics on your own by messing around in the game, it always feels like you're missing something if you haven't played through Resident Evil 4.

Presentation-wise the game looks great. It looks exactly like what it's supposed to represent. There's a lot of care put into the game feeling like RE4. I especially love how an evil voice says "SAVE ROOM" when you start the game.

There's not much else to this game... It's just managing an inventory and that's it. There's absolutely nothing to do other than managing an inventory and finding a few easter eggs while doing so. And sure that part of the game might be super polished, but when the only lore the game has is on the Steam store page and even the menus are clunky and unresponsive, I dont think that's a good thing. It feels unfinished

But what if you haven't played through Resident Evil 4? What's in it for you? Not much, honestly. The game heavily relies on you knowing the mechanics for it. I wanna say that the game would've been better if it had its own identity, like making it a medieval RPG game inventory or something. But, honestly, I don't think the concept by itself is enough to carry a game.

In conclusion: it's a fine concept, but only certain people might like it. And even then, there's not much else to this game other than sorting inventories. I had a fun time playing it, and it's only one hour long so I thought that was nice. 6/10
