More of the same, with one twist

Intro

Kingdom Rush 4 is a classical Tower Defense game in which you place towers on preset places along preset paths to kill enemies coming down those paths. You also have a hero and spells to fight enemies.

Review

So, they finally decided to bring some variation in the towers. Instead of always having the same four towers with two level 4 upgrades each, you now get to pick five towers (out of a collection of 18) each with a single level 4 upgrade. So yeah, during battles you only have five options instead of eight - but at least it's different.

Other than that, the only real change is that the final main campaign mission just straight-up gives you all the stars you need to unlock all upgrades. There are a couple of multi-stage levels as well, and the game is much harder after the main campaign. I never had trouble getting a perfect score on Casual difficulty, but here i even lost a few times. Between that and the game ultimately being too similar to KR 1-3, i didn't bother to "100%" this.

Kingdom Rush Vengeance is a really solid game, i just wish the shook things up …
