Beat on normal. Not familiar with the series and not a fan of anthropomorphic characters. I was a little confused at the opening about whether the king guy was good or bad, because there is no text. The game is a mix of Mega man (which I like) and Sonic (which I do not like), so I played the game at a sedate pace like a shooter. I barely scraped by the bosses but the fights became easier as I learned to use the rocket pack better. I hated the part where you only have a very short amount of time to make a precise rocket boost or die, during flooding. That was very frustrating. Even worse was the bullshit rockem sockem robot boss fight, for which I had to check a walkthrough; which basically said good luck. Who decided this was good gameplay?

Overall the game was good, with my favourite part being the shoot em up level.
