Rune Factory, again!

This was just what it said it would be and I loved that. The format is golden. I got to see pretty art, enjoy a story, save the world, chat up a stable of potential mates and eventually woo a succubus, befriend monsters then subjugate them, grow planties, craft things, be the most important person in a small village.

This was just what it said it would be and I loved that. The format is golden. I got to see pretty art, enjoy a story, save the world, chat up a stable of potential mates and eventually woo a succubus, befriend monsters then subjugate them, grow planties, craft things, be the most important person in a small village.

Criticisms:

  • There's a fair amount of cumbersome mechanics that could really use updates
  • I wanted to marry at least 2 people who turned out ineligible before I met my in game spirit animal/soulmate. I found that annoying. If they're not married they're avaliable, darn it all....

Those two points lose stars for this game but I'm giving one back for my overall enjoyment of it. Basically if you love a farming/dating/light-action-adventure SIM this is the game for you.

I've beaten the story and selected my spouse but I have to secure her and I have a million farm things I haven't completed. I was in the middle of leveling up my fields (second crop of vegetables) when I ran into wanting to beat the story. I might never come back to do these things but that does not diminish my appreciation that I can and there's so much more to the game than I've even touched.
