A Symphony For The Soul

Hands down the best VR experience I've had to date, big thank you to @cwknight for talking about it on here and putting it on my radar!

20+ years of Guitar Hero have led me to this moment and I couldn't be happier playing! There's little to no stress here, it's just you and the music kicking it back. I've missed pure experiences like this where I'm not running away from something or someone, it's that peaceful gaming experience I've been looking for for a while.

It's a simple formula, you stand in a concert hall and conduct your orchestra! The rhythm elements feel incredibly smooth, there's a decent stack of songs and DLC to get through with three difficulty settings. I managed to get through all songs on Normal difficulty with a 5 star rating in about 4.5 hours. There's something quite surreal about finishing your piece, turning around, and then seeing and hearing the crowd roaring behind you with applause as you awkwardly wave to say thank you.

There's a nice mix of tracks to choose from, my favourite being the jazz numbers surprisingly - they add so much life to the sets, it really gets you moving! There's some customisation options to change your concert setting, musicians, gloves etc. The small dev team seem really passionate about the project too with custom maps and more tracks coming soon.

I really can't fault the experience here, simply a must play for any music lover who's guitar hero days aren't quite over yet!

This is the best rhythm game I have ever played.

I have never felt so immersed and connected to the music, even when playing something like Rock Band. The environments are amazing, the sound is incredible, and the gameplay really makes you feel like a professional conductor.

If you have a VR headset, just get this. It's so good.
