Merde...

Twice this year I've tried this, and twice I find myself having a hard time enjoying myself. Twice this year I've tried this, and twice I find myself having a hard time enjoying myself. It's not the story, the art or the acting (although I don't understand why I can't play a French game with French audio), it's the UX. I thought that the UX was poor when played with a gamepad, and initially assumed that mouse and keyboard would be better. It's not, and the gestures required to complete certain tasks feel rigid and alienating whether played with a gamepad or a mouse. I know there's a lot to like here, but I can't quite seem to reach it through the UI/UX design.

Great game, UI's a bit clunky but it's fine. I loved the art and music, sad that it's only 3 hours while some questions are answered others are left with subtle information for you to piece together, which I like but also wish the game was longer to touch more on it.

Great game, UI's a bit clunky but it's fine. I loved the art and music, sad that it's only 3 hours while some questions are answered others are left with subtle information for you to piece together, which I like but also wish the game was longer to touch more on it.

Only nitpick is I wish it didn't try to add gameplay moments which is a weird nitpick for a game, but it's the same issue I had with artful escape where the added platforming just got in the way of the games flow. Best example is a quick time event that happens toward an important part at the end, it was janky and I needed tool me right out of the moment. Luckily this games story is good and it pulled me back in, but with short games like this just lean into the storybook vibe more and don't add any unnecessary game mechanics.

Other wise I widely recommend tho keep in mind it's only 3 hours.

I'm more excited about the idea to play Dordogne than Diablo 4 and I'm ok with it.

A time and place for every game.

This is begging me to play with a keyboard and mouse, or a touch screen. The console/controller UI is clunky and detracts from what is otherwise enjoyable.
