Pretty okay.
This review is for the PC (Microsoft Windows) version

It's a good game, but there are some features that make it a little sloppy. Some stationary turrets as Shade and Gun just do not get hot. So you can be shooting at will. It makes the game easier sometimes. And some missions of Operation A seems like a tutorial, as if you were learning to play. However, there are more vehicles, weapons and grenades (both UNSC as Covenant), and more Armor Abilities in the previous game, Spartan Assault. We also have new enemies, some more challenging. Now, we have an assistant (not Cortana, of course), who tells you the objectives of the mission, which makes the game a litte bit more interesting. And to get some achievements, we have to play with certain skulls selected, which makes the game very hard. The soundtrack is similar to the predecessor game. And the storyline is interesting. Halo: Spartan Strike is not a big deal, but it's cool and fun, really.

Picked this up for only $3 on sale for the iPad. Enjoyable enough. I can understand why many don't like the controls. As a twin stick shooter it works pretty well on the iPad, but there are too many other buttons that often interfere with the virtual joysticks.

For the price I paid it is worth it
