Rive is a twin stick shooter/platformer with a nice look but uninteresting game play.

It looked interesting. The first couple of minutes gave me hope that it will be. But something just didn't click.

The game is a about a small mech like robot trying to navigate his way through a giant spaceship. Along the way doing some platforming and defeating tons of enemies in seizure inducing array of colorful explosions. It became repetitive way too soon than I hoped for and the loop look like this. You get a little bit of dialog, go a little and get closed in a room with waves of enemies coming at you. Defeat the enemies and repeat.

At any given time there's plenty of things going on on the screen - multitude of enemies, your bright shots, screen shaking explosions. It just was tiring to even watch let alone have some sort of control of the entire thing.

Overall instead of enjoying the game I was feeling actually more stressed than anything else. A big miss for me.

Divertente, casinista e impegnativo ma mai frustrante. Una discreta bombetta. Forse un filo corto.
