I have some early impressions about this one. I'm sure I'll have far more to say if I finish it, but this is one of those games where I'm only a couple hours in but I immediately have a lot of thoughts.

I have some early impressions about this one. I'm sure I'll have far more to say if I finish it, but this is one of those games where I'm only a couple hours in but I immediately have a lot of thoughts.
- I'll post a comparison image below, but I really wish this game had the option for the original 90s artwork. The artwork here is fine in isolation, but the original is so, SO much better.
- They do, however, give you the option for the original music, which is good because I strongly prefer the PC-98 MIDI original.
- The writing and localization seem to be really good? Kinda really surprised. During the first scene, I was worried this was gonna be like a mindlessly horny game, but it kinda subverts itself and establishes the protagonist as a bit of a loser for being such a pervert.
- I turned the voice acting right off. I don't know what it is, but I really don't like a lot of modern Japanese VA. Some is fantastic, and I'm happy to have it... But the VA here is so tropey and unrealistic that I actually kinda prefer to imagine my own voices.
- Related to the VA, because the text speed syncs with the VA, turning it off greatly accelerates the speed at which you can push through scenes.
Character model comparison below... The originals are just SO much better IMHO.
