Now that I've been playing for some hours the constant level repetition it's getting old. So is the inept structure of enemy encounters. Every single time a new wave of monsters appear from literally nowhere I roll my eyes and actually groan in frustration. I remember dragon age origins' combat being a lot about preparedness and placement (especially playing a mage) but there's no strategy to be have if the enemies spawn from thin air and surrounds you every time. It's absolutely awful.
On the other hand, I'm enjoying the character (can't say "the story", because so far all the loosely connected quests don't really come together into a cohesive plot). Sarcastic Hawk can be seriously funny. I laughed out loud at the line about the Templars not needing to worry about having 'cute' children. Some of the companions are fun, too. Merril has some silly lines. And I've just got to know isabella, which promises to be interesting although she should really put on some armour; is not safe going to battle pantless.
