The Bug Butcher is an action-packed 2D side scrolling shoot em up game where peril comes from above. The core mechanics hold old ties from the classic arcade shooter "Super Pang" where you shoot vertically, but with modern day twists. You are Harry, a brash and tenacious exterminator who has a knack for decimating bugs. Harry's current assignment takes him to an infested futuristic research facility on a distant planet. The surviving and dwindling number of scientists employed him for his slaughtering skills.

"Buggy" Bullet Hell
This time "buggy" isn't a bad thing. You are an exterminator who has been tasked with eliminating the many bugs in a research facility. This (mostly) top-down bullet hell shooter is just cutesy enough to not make the bug scenario feel grotesque. There are a fair number of weapons and the hard level really does present a serious challenge. While most bullet hell-style games do become repetitive after awhile, you come for the shooting and to improve your accuracy, not the creativity in presentation. I would highly recommend this one, especially right now while it is on sale during the Steam Summer Sale.
