There's no proper map, no automated exploration mode and the pathfinding is embarassing. Several times i would queue construction for my commander, go to fight the enemy and return to find that the moron had gotten stuck behind a building or unit somehow. There isn't even a proper campaign, just nodes with generic battles and generic upgrades.

Basically every alternative is far superior. Go play either Supreme Commander (€10) or Zero-K (free) instead.
