Been making progress in this off and on with an online friend. It's fun to build things and chill, but it feels like a labor camp to play it alone. The way your production scales is also neat and a core strategic element to focus on certain things first for the sake of effficiency.

I couldn't get into factorio at all but I really do like this one, and it is basically a first person version of something like Factorio

They just ported the game to Unreal Engine 5 in the optional experimental update. Bittersweet. Mostly bitter, though.

Oh, the irony. I guess I could disable updates and keep enjoying good FPS, but I'll miss out on other cool features they're bringing...

I love this game but damn, they picked the most frustrating/triggering building for the cover art.
The biomass reactor. You'll have to refill it with biomass every so often, untill you get to better (automated) energy sources. Literally a chore. For me, this aspect of the game is so frustrating, that I learned to speedrun it into the

From there on the game becomes quite chill though. Unless you're a bad architect and repeatedly shoot yourself in the leg. Kinda reminds me of programming: you implement a solution and as soon as it's done, you realize how it could've been done better and how adding more components to the system is now quite hard because of your bad initial planning 😅💀
But every time you do a refactoring, you learn.

getting back to grouvee and cleaning up my collections. limited review.
It's a bit limited of a review, but this was a great game for what it is. A litle unbalanced at the high end where the factories were crazy for how much you had to build, but I enjoyed it all the same.

This game is the 3rd relax and build game I've played (including minecraft, that is).
PROS
This game has incredible graphics and even has a dedicated screenshot program in the game, allowing you to zoom in and out among other things. Moving mechanics are so smooth and satisfying, half the time I spend playing this game I just slide jump around. Progressing through the tiers and research is very fun and not super hard or grindy. I love the variety in the ways you are required to build different items, it's not just one thing for everything. The amount of ways to transport items is also a neat feature, I personally like trains the best. And you can build your own structures as well, sorta like in minecraft. Lizard doggo :D The overall game mechanics are very fun to build with, and I personally like the challenges to find out how this thing works or how that thing works. The map is HUGE and so are your factory building abilities. You can build all the way up in the sky, huge factories on the ground, and factories on lakes and oceans. I only wish I could construct tunnels or build factories underground. I can't wait for the lore to be expanded with the mercer orbs, somersloops, crash sites, SAM ore, and more!
CONS
To make your base of operations look real satis - factory (haha) it requires a lot of grinding. And after 7 days continuously grinding this game to progress and make my base look good I am burnt out. Why can't we destroy the gassy pillar objects? slightly annoying when wanting to build and you go straight into them. There are some trees/objects that look like you can blow up but can't. They can't even be chainsaw'd. If you have a shit ton of conveyor belts stretching across you're world, the game can lag really hard, so don't. Handful of interesting bugs, but nothing game breaking or that'll prevent you from having a good time. Foundation can be annoying to deal with as it clips through small hills and the such as well.
Overall great game, there are some challenges, but who expected factory building to be easy? Very excited for the WIP's to be finished and the lore to be expanded!

Played my first session today with a friend for a total of 5 hours. Coop with Discord strongly recommended!
Was reluctant about buying Satisfactory, thinking it's "Factorio clone in 3d". I played so much Factorio, to the point where the core mechanic got boring to me. Glad that's not the case!

This game brings many improvements and new stuff to the table and, while I still love Factorio for all the fun times, I don't think I'm ever going back! For me this is "Super Factorio 3000 3D!"

A very lovely prerelease game that honestly I love chilling and just playing. A perfect game to just use the optimization part of my brain and relax while making a huge production line :) Definitely recommend to everyone.

The progress is kind of slow, but it always feels like you’re doing something useful (unlike Minecraft, which I also really like). It’s taken me the whole 2 hours to automate creating the simplest of parts, but it felt awesome.
I can only barely compare it to factorio because I fell off of that one pretty fast. From what I’ve seen, it’s definitely a 3D version of it, but it’s sticking with me more for some reason.

well gee this game looks awesome. it's not minecraft. its not factorio. its not space engineers.
at a glance It looks more like an 'arcade' version of Tekkit (or more accurately Tekkit Lite)
definitely going to try it at some point!
