I love the idea of this game. The execution is frustrating as hell.
It starts out alright but the AI is far from intelligent, there are a couple bugs, and Ghost Master never boths to explain key concepts that underpin most of its mechanics. You're expected to just know that the Rattling Chains power will attract nearby mortals, for example. Or, hey, didn't you realise when we said ghosts can't be tethered to items in warded rooms we meant ghosts CAN be tethered to items in warded rooms if they're carried into the area first?
Worst of all though are the tedious later levels. 30 minutes of trial and error while you wait for an NPC to maybe, hopefully walk into one specific room.
I tracked down a 10+ year old review of Ghost Master by Rhianna Pratchett who wrote for a popular magazine in the UK called PC ZONE. It was unavailable until now! Credit to http://www.pixsoriginadventures.co.uk/ for sending it to me.
I'm so happy I found it! Here's an imgur link: http://imgur.com/a/wmZmG
