One of the aspect that I wasn't a fan of was that the controls of the game shifted from realistic to arcade controls, and it was kind of sad to experience.

After spending my afternoon playing it, I realised how much I missed the older NFS games. This game strives to be what made NFS games so special, and it only delivers slightly. This is an obvious console port, having no difference despite changing the display settings. But it is filled with thrills which are rare in car games, as well as a wide variety of vehicles. I admit that it's not the best NFS out there but still deserving of a pass. Overall, the game was decent enough for a positive outcome.

The good: Excellent level design, great variety of locations. Good sense of speed in the later vehicles. Fine variety in race objectives.

The bad: Story is absurdly bad. Meaningless quick time events, forced chase sequences. Shoddy texture work, semi-frequent framerate drops (particularly when drifting around corners for some reason). Uneven handling of vehicles. Frustrating out-of-bounds mechanic comes off as way …

The bad: Story is absurdly bad. Meaningless quick time events, forced chase sequences. Shoddy texture work, semi-frequent framerate drops (particularly when drifting around corners for some reason). Uneven handling of vehicles. Frustrating out-of-bounds mechanic comes off as way too harsh and at times arbitrary.
