The PlayStation 2 had six Sims games:
And, finally, The Sims 2: Castaway, the only game that truly felt as a game and not as an incomplete port or an overpriced expansion.
The premise is as simple as it can get: You create various sims, they shipwreck and you start playing with one of them, getting to meet with the rest as you advance before you can finally leave the island.
The gameplay combines classical Sims interaction (not only with Sims but monkeys too) with exploring and crafting, being this last feature quite fascinating for 2007. Still, the game feels more like a first try on the Castaway idea and get repetitive soon. Sadly, making hundres of DLC adding a few wardrobes proved to be a better bussiness and standalone experiences like this were quickly forgotten.

Playing the DS Version! And it is very different from most of the versions of this game! I know right, what a shocker, it is a more linear, easier take with touch screen mini games for certain actions, and in a way it reminds me of Mr Prepper for the PC, except with 0 customization or base building, it is sad that for the DS version they had removed all elements of being able to customize a base or create one since that is what the Sims franchise is known for, instead it just becomes a series of going back and forth, it is hard to get yourself killed in comparison to the other versions of this game.
Me: I have so many new games and should play one of them. Also Me: I think I shall boot up The Sims 2 Castaway for some reason.
