Westerado: Double Barreled is Ostrich Banditos' homage to Spaghetti Westerns about dirty pasts, consequences and taking a hold of your future. When your family is murdered by a mysterious desperado, you set out into the world to take revenge. Take control of your own fate and that of others, all using your trusty shooting iron. 8.5/10

Great pixel graphics and a delicious western soundtrack help bring this to life. It has an open-world, but the combination of quests and mini-games add a decent amount of variety. You could complete the main quest pretty quickly but there's enough content -- such as the aforementioned quests, a bunch of guns, different characters --here to get your money worth. It has a sense of humour but can hit some pretty serious themes when it wants to. I enjoy the gunplay: for example, with the pistol you have to physically press the button to reload a single bullet, aim the gun and then cock it. It just feels genuine and very few games do something like this so it is appreciated.

Cute Idea, awful to control

I played on Xbox One with the controller and it never gelled. Maybe this was made for mouse and keyboard?

Anyway, I quit this one within an hour.

decently fun western. Doesnt do much with its setting beyond sound and visuals. Honestly if you're gonna make your setting a western one and have a minimal narrative, you've gotta build up the mechanics and interactions with townsfolk and the like around western themes.
