Pumpkin Jack plays like how your brain might remember your favorite linear 3-D platformer of the fifth or sixth home console generation. It looks and feels more contemporary than that, and it has a unique scenario with an unconventional protagonist. I enjoyed it.

I wasn't quite as charmed by it as others seem to be. This is a tremendous accomplishment for an individual to have pulled off mostly on their own, and I don't think it's fair for me to nitpick the same details I might for a AAA studio release. It's just that the levels seemed to carry on a bit too long for me personally. But I'm glad I played it: If you dig 3-D platformers, you should give it a try.
