Man, this thing is so so so charming. A work after my own heart.
Adorable in every way, Angelique is a raising sim in which you must utilize magical cute boys to create a healthy, happy country. The colors are bright, the music is catchy and the characters are bursting with personality. Seriously. These little pixel people have extensive lore behind them, with twisty-turny relationships that go in unexpected directions. It's a bit basic gameplay-wise but a wonderful start to a world I'm quickly getting lost in.
I've been using this fansite for translations. It's got everything from interviews to bios to voice lines to manga buying guides. Such commitment demands my respect. Even if you don't plan on playing the game, the site is great for an old-fashioned game lore hangout.
(also the manga, though partially untranslated, is great for a comfy read to give you context for the game as a whole)
