Decent Ideas, Dated Design, Poor Execution
This review is for the Nintendo Entertainment System version

Many NES games were really hard and few people got to expierence later stages of many games and Mision Impossible is probably one of those that few people ever got past that first area (or even the first screen of the main street in the first stage) enter image description here
Most of the game is played from a top down shooting perspective.

While this game at first seems stupid hard, it does reward your muscle memory. Enemies aren't random and are static, and once you defeat and kill an enemy, its gone for good.

I dont know about being made in the 'metal gear engine' but it is a top down fighting/brawler/shooter that plays somewhat similiarly. the game world is much less open and constricted to 'acts' but the game is plenty large enough.

The game plays a bit like a brawler/shooter with some very light stealth elements. You have three agents with differnt attacks/abilities and you must complete a level before your three agents die.

Most levels consist of finding a keycard and then getting to the end of the level. Teh game has very lightweight bosses.

Overall its not really worth playing. It has some really cool ideas and it feels …

Overall its not really worth playing. It has some really cool ideas and it feels surprisingly canon with the TV show its based off of (which is pretty cool and i'm going to watch another episode of it now) It's not that difficult to complete with an emulator (rather simple because enemies are static and dont regenerate)

The game feels experimental. Some of the missions are spy hunter/james bond vehicular chase/combat shenanigans that feel really out of place. If the game overall resembled a fully fledged top down shooter or an adventure game it could have been better i think. The fighting, exploration and music score all feel slightly similar to TNMT to me in some ways even though this doesn't play like it and is lesser quality.
