Debating on stopping bthis one early. Gameplay is super repetitive and there isn't much of a story to keep me engaged through the tedious gameplay...

LF> quality remastered version, as I've heard the recent Switch port has made numerous missteps compared to the original.

Wife and I just beat year 2. the actual gameplay is starting to wear thin just a smidge. I kind of think the idea of this game might be better than the game itself. We will see as we go on.

Picked this up launch day and have been casually playing through it since, and I gotta say... it's holding up for me? I'm disappointed there's no local multiplayer, and I can totally understand how the gameplay here isn't everyone's cup of tea, but I'm very much enjoying it. I've been soloing the whole thing, and it's been challenging without being …

Picked this up launch day and have been casually playing through it since, and I gotta say... it's holding up for me? I'm disappointed there's no local multiplayer, and I can totally understand how the gameplay here isn't everyone's cup of tea, but I'm very much enjoying it. I've been soloing the whole thing, and it's been challenging without being too difficult, I find I'm not actually grinding at all (some of the dungeons are a little slow if anything) - and being in quarantine, playing a game about outsmarting a fantasy pandemic? Pretty satisfying.

It confounds me that a game that was original centred around local multiplayer has been remade into a game that only has online multiplayer. I’m also disappointed that SE once again decided not to enable other language VOs in North America, so there’s no way to enable Japanese VO. Throw on top of that the fact that there is a …

It confounds me that a game that was original centred around local multiplayer has been remade into a game that only has online multiplayer. I’m also disappointed that SE once again decided not to enable other language VOs in North America, so there’s no way to enable Japanese VO. Throw on top of that the fact that there is a bunch of needless DLC leads me to say this is a game worth skipping. I guess I have to stick to the GameCube version if I want the original co-op experience.

Has anyone grabbed the demo yet? It's pretty extensive. You can play the first three dungeons in full, and then you can play 10+ dungeons online with anyone who has a full copy, apparently. Good way for a group of friends to play and try it out. Also a good way to decide which platform you want it on.

Anyone thinking of picking up the remastered version of this game for Switch?

One of the games I owned for my GameCube, that I think I largely enjoyed (at least I think I did, I think). Yet I don't remember it well. I remember fighting in caves a lot. I also remember the GBA connection for multiplayer. Now it's being re-released for Switch, and I wonder is this worth picking up? Was it …

I also remember the GBA connection for multiplayer. Now it's being re-released for Switch, and I wonder is this worth picking up? Was it fun? Did I like it? Did I like it enough to buy it again? Or is it worth buying because I've forgotten enough of it that it would be like playing a whole new game?

We plowed ahead on Crystal Chronicles over the weekend and made it a point to move on to levels we hadn't finished yet. Playing old levels definitely paid off though, as we beat some bosses that kicked our butt on our last attempt to play through this game.

My wife and I are still working through the original Crystal Chronicles. We did two more repeat missions yesterday and finished off the fifth year of the game. One thing I'm struggling with is when to repeat dungeons to get stronger, and when to look for new things...

My wife and I have gotten back into Crystal Chronicles on GameCube! I really love this game. We are into year 5 and just had a really difficult boss fight this morning. :)
