Beat on loan from my coworker and ended at level 43. I don't have the game to look at more details in the save file. The game was fairly enjoyable with good story and characters, especially the town npcs. However, the translation was not good. I liked how party members coming and going was handled and overall liked their abilities, but the game was too easy and the battle system was not good. It tries to make a half assed tactical combat system where there are positions and ranges, but I played the entire game without moving anyone. As far as I can tell from reading a guide afterwards, the wait command allows movement. Not a good name for it. The vast majority of battles only require mashing attack; magic and special skills really only come into play for the hardest boss fights. I did not like how most treasure chests have mundane consumables that can be gotten for free from the pet, making the game even more easy. I would not want to play it again but it was a fun experience.

6.7/10.
