Addie is a puzzle-adventure game developed by addie software and released exlusively for the PS and remained a Japan only game. Thanks to the internet we can play it now with an english fantranslation.
A friend of Addie gives her a loglock (some kind of cryptex-ish device) for her birthday, and with this loglock we must resolve all the puzzles in the game. That night, when Addie is dreaming she is teleported to another world, a world in wich you can transform things using your loglock. And here is where the heart of the game is: the puzzles.
Each puzzles gives you a word and then you must transform that word into another one, for example: some guy says that he wants an apple but he only has a stick, so Addie, as the good girl that she is, offers you to transform the stick into an apple, and thus, the puzzle begins.
The puzzles are actually really hard (at least for me). Each letter in the word can be mirrored, rotated, you can remove the letters because every one is an independent link, but sometimes some letters are fixed to each other, so you have a lot of combinations …

The puzzles are actually really hard (at least for me). Each letter in the word can be mirrored, rotated, you can remove the letters because every one is an independent link, but sometimes some letters are fixed to each other, so you have a lot of combinations at your disposal. You can also make symbols that represent no letter at all. If that does not sounds hard to you, then add some limit to each puzzle, in this case, a movement limit. At the start of each puzzle you have a max limit of movements (going up, down, rotate, mirror, and pulling letters increase the counter by one) If at any time you reach the limit, then it's game over.

Even though I was really struggling every time a puzzle showed up, I had a great time with the game, cause it had a great pace and nice flow between puzzles and the story.
Before ending the review I have to point out two thing really peculiar in this game: The first one is that you have always 2 Addie on screen, the character that you move and the same Addie on the right side of the screen showing her doing the action. And the second one is that every character in the game has no voice, but rather a instrument plays every time someone talks, it is really funny.

Overall I would say give it a try, specially if you are fan of puzzles. And the story is good enough to keep you going.
