Post Scriptum
They added some twists which is neat but i got annoyed by the awful music and flashing effects during the first non-tutorial level.

This was a game released for free as a quarantine game, and so I gave it a shot, not really having any idea what kind of Pac-Man game this would entail. I overall found it a very pleasant surprise! The name of the game for this one is speed. Pac-Man and the ghosts zip through the mazes at ludicrous speeds, so you really have to get "in the zone" and exercise quick reflexes. What makes this game work at all is the fact that you don't instantly die when colliding with a ghost. Instead you will "bump" into them -- if you bump into a ghost a few times, the ghost will get pissed and chase you more directly. If you are caught when the ghost is in this agitated state, then you lose a life. For the most part though your main concern is the timer. It's a race against the clock for every stage, and the maps and goals for each level can vary in rather interesting ways. I had a good time going through most of the adventure mode, and can see myself returning to the regular "arcade" mode whenever I have the itch for a round …

Pretty fun for a free game. I wish it didn't lock so many modes behind tutorials out of principle, but it wasn't a big deal as I was brand new to this gameplay style and needed to do them anyways. Love me a fast paced dot gobbler.
From now until May 10th, Pac-Man Championship 2 will be free to download on Steam, PS4, and Xbox One.
I just started playing it, and I'm pleasantly surprised. It's a pretty cool spin on the tried-and-true Pacman formula.
