This review is for the PC (Microsoft Windows) version

I like this game more than R2, but not as much as R1.

I think it did a good job of using the stronger hardware of the PS2. 3D environments were a nice touch and felt like a step-up from the prior 2 games. I will say the first 2 chapters were pretty chill, but then the other chapters went wild with how tedious their dungeon designs were. The game would've really benefited from having a map.

The episodic nature worked out in this game's favor, they were able to tell multiple self-contained story's without making me think "I wish we could ramp up to the actual story." I will say only about 2 out of the 6 story's felt like they mattered.

Having 16 person party's was awesome, it feels good to outnumber enemies for once.

I think the game would've benefited from a fast forward feature, it felt pretty slow at times.

I do wish this game had more musical numbers, it feels like the series mostly drops that motif after the first game.

Sad there isn't a Rhapsody 4, but I don't know what else they could do with the story and characters.
