I didn’t even know it existed, I only tried it with my daughter because Jakub Dvorský suggested it to me and it looked fun. Well, Lost in Play is a borderline masterpiece. A modern point and click adventure that doesn’t get stuck in uber complicated puzzles and doubles down on an amazing taste for the fantastic, the surreal, playing with perception through the lens of kids' imagination and with such a powerful sense of humour. We laughed so fucking hard the whole time but we also had so much fun with the puzzles. It reminded me of how animation can blur the lines between what’s real and what isn’t, in that magical place somewhere between Miyazaki, Hilda, Bluey, the more schizoid stuff from Cartoon Network and who knows what else. I loved it so much.
The game was great. I have been playing adventure games since the original kings quest 1. Of course this isn’t that. I was $5! And made by a handful of very talented people. The story was whimsical and fun. I truly hope this gave them enough money to continue to pursue a sequel. I’d buy it in a second. Well done
An adorable, approachable adventure game aimed at kids. Has a lovely story and cute animation and sound. Includes a hint system for when it's unclear how to proceed.
I'm happy to have played it with my kid.
This is a gem of a little game. Wonderful and whimsical artwork. All done in 5 or 6 hours but a great experience none the less. The puzzles were varied and enjoyable without being overly complicated. Well paced and well written 'point a click' adventure game..
A solid three⭐ cute game. right now I'm in my med clinicals so I'm exhausted most nights, so this was just a great way for me to decompress but the gameplay was pretty straightforward and I did enjoy the characters !they were cute! so a solid three
