Batrice's review of YIIK: A Postmodern RPG
This review is for the Nintendo Switch version

The combat is broken, the narrative is overwrought, plagiaristic, and deeply problematic, the characters are either deliberately unlikeable in ways that are uninteresting or two-dimensional gags who destroy their own tone when they attempt to be serious, and the music has a few standout tracks but the majority runs the gamut from forgettable to flat out bad.

Its visual aesthetic is actually really good, but that doesn't remotely make playing this deeply unpleasant experience worth it.
