Boeckham's Football Manager is text-based football management sim that is so retro that the first season starts in 1990. The only available teams you can manage are from the German and English leagues. There are no real teams, just clear cognates. The players are entirely fictional and no relationship to real players of the era as far as I can tell. I managed Everton and managed to avoid relegation for two seasons. Managing in this game is way, way simpler than Football Manager. There are very few tactical and motivational decisions that you can make before and during games. And the games themselves are simple text results without FM's 3D match view.
I was only able to play two seasons because the game updated and erased my save. I might relaunch it one day but for now, it's "played".
