A certified top-three Xbox 360 game

You genuinely could not ask for much more from Skate 3. It was brilliant when it released, and it still holds up now.

The game is incredibly unique. The amount of freedom it gives you means you can spend hours skating around without ever getting bored. Whether you are trying to land realistic lines, throwing yourself down huge gaps or simply messing around with the physics, there is always something entertaining to do.

Hall of Meat was one of the best parts of the game. Trying to cause as much damage as possible was stupidly fun, especially when playing with friends. The physics had the perfect kind of jankiness as well. They could be unpredictable and ridiculous, but that only made the game more memorable.

The controls were satisfying once you got used to them, and learning new tricks or finally landing something difficult felt genuinely rewarding. The open areas, challenges and freedom to play however you wanted gave the game an unbelievable amount of replayability.

Skate 3 is one of those games that can never truly be replaced. It is easily a certified top-three Xbox 360 game for me.
